The overall objective of the workshop is to build practical capacity in designing, producing, deploying, and using CRISPR-based diagnostics.
The workshop aims to provide an understanding of the concepts behind CRISPR-based diagnostics and related enabling technologies, as well as practical knowledge in designing key components of CRISPR-based diagnostics.
Moreover, it will provide technical knowledge and hands-on experience in the production of components (particularly the recombinase-polymerase amplification reaction) and formulations of CRISPR-based diagnostics.
The workshop will discuss use cases, opportunities, challenges associated with their use in low- and middle-income countries, and will work to build open-access resources for CRISPR-based diagnostics. The workshop will be presented by our internationally and nationally renowned speakers.
